Your handicap

Worked out from your saved rounds the same way the World Handicap System does — the best 8 of your last 20, with every hole capped at net double bogey.

ScoreMate index · your own estimate, not official

—

You need 54 holes finished before a number means anything. 54 more holes to go.

This is not an official handicap. Only Golf Ireland (or your own national body) can issue that — keep posting your cards with them and use this as your day-to-day guide.

Shots for today's tees

Your course · 18 holes · par 72

Once you have an index we'll show your shots here.

No course rating or slope set for these tees — we're guessing from par, so the number is rough. Add them from your card.

Your last 20 rounds

The ones marked in green are the scores counting towards your index right now.

How the number is worked out

  • Every hole is capped at par + 2 + the shots you get there, so one blow-up hole can't wreck it.
  • Each round becomes a differential: (your capped score − course rating) × 113 ÷ slope. That puts an easy course and a hard one on the same footing.
  • Your index is the average of the best 8 of your last 20 — potential, not a typical day. With fewer rounds we use a smaller set, exactly as the rules say.
  • Rises are slowed once you go 3 above your best of the last year, and stopped at 5 above it.
  • We leave out the daily conditions adjustment, which only a national system can calculate, so ours can sit a fraction away from your official one.
